July 4th Parade & Frontier Days
Round Rock's biggest day of the year. The Sertoma Independence Day Parade rolls down Mays Street at 8:30am with giant inflatables and community groups, then the party moves to Old Settlers Park at noon for all-day Frontier Days — carnival rides, live music, vendors, Swifty Swine racing pigs, and a pepper-eating contest.

In the transformed old Denny's just south of University, Grey Orchard is Round Rock's swing at elevated dining that stays local. It's an independently owned modern American spot from owner James Sun and chef partner Cole Fitzgerald — who earned a Michelin Guide mention at 24 — with American fan-favorites shaped by subtle Asian influence, from fried chicken with an Asian dipping sauce to a duck-confit bánh mì.
